Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Residence Director to join our team at Helen Keller Services in Wantagh.

About the Position
  • Assist the Residence Director in managing the daily operations of the IRA providing residential services for 6 developmentally disabled, visually impaired individuals.
  • Interface with guardians, advocates, Care Coordinators, OPWDD surveyors, and outside agencies such as SSA, Medicaid, etc.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree in special education, psychology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year's supervisory experience in a Residential Setting serving individuals with multiple disabilities.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and policy required.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $22.00 - $24.50 per hour
