Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at Labcorp. In this capacity, you will deliver outstanding customer service, execute proficient specimen collections, and represent our organization with professionalism.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with rotating weekend shifts and holiday duties as required. The position entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, with potential adjustments based on operational needs.

Location: This position is based in a healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct blood draws using venipuncture and capillary methods across all age demographics.
  • Collect specimens for various tests including drug screenings and paternity evaluations.
  • Accurately enter patient data in a timely manner.
  • Handle billing processes and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks as required.
  • Travel to additional locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited organization is preferred.
  • Prior experience in phlebotomy is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record may be necessary.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to pass a standardized color vision test.
