Position Overview:

AMS Staffing Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Attorney specializing in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and civil rights litigation. This full-time role offers a competitive salary based on experience along with comprehensive benefits.

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with three days in the office and two days remote, with Tuesday being mandatory in-office.

Experience Requirement: A minimum of 10 years in litigating ADA and/or civil rights claims is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Management: Oversee all phases of ADA and civil rights litigation, including strategy formulation, discovery processes, motion practices, and trial preparations.
  • Case Oversight: Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress and compliance with legal deadlines.
  • Court Representation: Act as the primary representative for clients in various legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
  • Trial Leadership: Lead trial proceedings, presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and delivering compelling arguments.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to ADA and civil rights issues, drafting necessary legal documents such as motions and briefs.
  • Client Relations: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing any legal inquiries.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to facilitate dispute resolution.
  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of changes in ADA and civil rights law, participating in relevant professional organizations and seminars.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Must be admitted to practice law in California.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in ADA and civil rights litigation, with a strong record of trial experience.
  • Skills: Exceptional trial skills, legal research and writing capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
