Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Professional to join our team at Country Club of Detroit. As a Fitness Professional, you will be responsible for designing and implementing customized fitness programs for our members, educating them on proper nutrition and exercise techniques, and providing guidance and support to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their fitness goals and develop personalized exercise programs to help them achieve those goals.
  • Exercise Program Design: Design and implement customized exercise programs for clients, including cardiovascular, strength training, and flexibility exercises.
  • Nutrition Education: Educate clients on proper nutrition and provide guidance on healthy eating habits to support their fitness goals.
  • Client Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients to help them stay motivated and on track with their fitness goals.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrate and teach clients how to use various exercise equipment safely and effectively.
  • Client Retention: Establish and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a personal trainer or fitness professional required.
  • Certifications: CPR certification and personal trainer certification required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse client base; knowledge of exercise science and nutrition principles.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment: Indoor gym facility.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist for extended periods; ability to lift 40 pounds.
