Job Title: Licensed Optician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a Licensed Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology, managing time pressure and customer volume while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and tool usage.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, helping to maintain a clean, attractive, and organized environment.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
