Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology or a related discipline.
Terms of Employment:
180 school days at 7 hours per day.
Evaluation:
Conducted biannually by the Supervising Speech/Language Pathologist.
Compensation:
$18.75 to $28.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Overview:
Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) play a crucial role in supporting the educational and therapeutic needs of students. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), SLPAs implement treatment plans and provide valuable feedback regarding student progress. They assist in various educational and therapy-related tasks, ensuring effective communication between all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modify educational and therapy materials to meet student needs.
- Facilitate communication and meetings among therapists, school staff, and families.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with appropriate oversight.
- Assist in performing speech and language screenings.
- Document therapy sessions and input data into the designated documentation system under SLP guidance.
- Maintain professional certification and complete required annual training sessions.
Essential Requirements:
- Possession or eligibility for state certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
