Aquatics Director Job Description

The YMCA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Director to lead our aquatic department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the aquatic department, including staff supervision, budgeting, and program development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement aquatic programs and services that meet the needs of our members and the community.
  • Supervise and train aquatic staff to ensure high-quality programs and services.
  • Manage the aquatic department budget and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in aquatic programming.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience in aquatic programming or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED.
