Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at TIC - The Industrial Company. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical construction projects across the country, with a focus on industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, with experience in supervising craft workers, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with construction drawings and specifications.

As a leader in our team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and mentorship to junior superintendents, as well as coordinating with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit staff to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory direction of craft workers, including journeymen and apprentices, in electrical construction
  • Manage project schedules, including determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
  • Liaise with field engineering and craft to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit staff to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties
  • Assist in schedule planning and contract administration
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical construction
  • Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements, and jurisdictional issues
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft and subcontractor performance
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, planning, and contract administration skills
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
