Assistant Rooms Division Manager Job Description

The World Equestrian Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Rooms Division Manager to oversee the daily operations of the rooms department. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service and meeting financial profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily housekeeping and guest services shift operations to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure proper sanitation is maintained throughout the property, including guestroom accommodations, public areas, offices, grounds, and recreation areas.
  • Supervise staffing levels and create schedules to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
  • Create and implement training programs for new and existing team members to ensure understanding of expectations and service standards.
  • Participate in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and retention of department team members.
  • Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supports the Review Process.
  • Demonstrate and promote a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in compliance with workplace policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Solicit employee feedback, utilize an "open door" policy, and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
  • Participate in an on-going employee recognition and development program.
  • Maintain a positive relationship and continuous communication with leadership at area hotels to maximize unit inventory and use.
  • Handle and respond to guest concerns in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings and daily stand-up meetings to communicate departmental goals, expectations, and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Review current day's expected arrivals and VIP and special request reservations.
  • Maintain key inventory and controls.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible availability to include weekends is required.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping or guest services supervisory experience required.
