- Ensure Target Continuity: Ensure target continuity, profile targets and their activities, and develop techniques to gain additional target information.
- Maintain Databases: Maintain appropriate databases for targeting, tasking, and analysis.
- Identify Intelligence Gaps: Identify intelligence gaps to tailor current collection or enable new collection to close the gaps.
- Employ Analysis Disciplines: Employ multiple analysis disciplines such as pattern recognition against targets' communications, network usage and digital footprints.
- Apply IC Needs and Missions: Apply your knowledge and understanding of IC needs and missions.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Be part of a team, working together with government, military, and contractor personnel to develop shared understandings of intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise.
- Distill and Document Findings: Distill, document, contextualize and share your findings, including any new tradecraft that you develop, with teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers.
- Education: Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security). Up to 18 semester hours of military training/coursework in networking, computer science, or cyber topics is equivalent to an Associate degree.
- Experience: Must have completed basic customer target development training or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in application customer target development and discovery techniques. Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis of metadata and produce intelligence through the addition, updating, or analysis of information in appropriate mission databases. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of customer collection techniques and compliance with customer targeting policies and US Federal law. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of SIGINT production cycle and execution of its different phases. Fully cleared with FS. 7 years' applicable experience with a PhD, OR 9 years' applicable experience with a master's degree, OR 11 years' applicable experience with a bachelor's degree, OR 10 years' applicable experience with a master's degree, OR 15 years' applicable experience without a degree.
