Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler - Distribution Center to join our team at Kentucky Trailer. As a key member of our distribution center team, you will be responsible for a variety of functions, including receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery to our warehouse
  • Stock and organize merchandise in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Load and unload merchandise from trucks and other vehicles, using heavy-duty equipment as needed
  • Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move merchandise throughout the warehouse
  • Assist with inventory management, including counting and reconciling inventory levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in process improvements and contributing to a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with a focus on material handling and inventory management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software
