Job Summary

Under the general supervision of a Certified Prosthetist, we are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to process measurements, CAD models, physical models, and clinical instructions into a CAD representation suitable for manufacturing custom-made Prosthetic or Orthotic devices. As a technical expert in the field of Prosthetic and Orthotic CAD, you will assume a key role in the design and development of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop CAD models for custom prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring accuracy and precision in every detail.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand customer needs and provide technical support via various communication channels.
  • Utilize CAD software, such as Össur Design Studio, Rodin 4D, and SolidWorks, to create innovative solutions to clinical challenges.
  • Maintain a high level of quality in all work, adhering to Össur's quality management system and training requirements.
  • Exercise responsible use of company funds and property, upholding a professional attitude as a representative of Össur.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and reporting potential hazards.
Requirements
  • Technical vocational or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CAD design and development.
  • Self-motivated and dependable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of prosthetic componentry and individual applications.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, including Össur Design Studio, Rodin 4D, and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to utilize digital media for education and support.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include regular talking and hearing, frequent sitting, and occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
