About the Role

Cortica is seeking a skilled Counselor (LMFT, LCSW, LMHC) to join its multidisciplinary team.

As a Counselor, you will be an extraordinary clinician, providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care. You will work with leaders in the field of child development and broaden your clinical knowledge across disciplines through collaboration with master practitioners across neurological, sensorimotor, communication, and behavior therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
  • Utilizing therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of the client, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others.
  • Attending to relational ethics, collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team, and actively engaging with families to ensure wrap-around support.
  • Participating in family care meetings with other providers.
  • Complying with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations by fostering practices that adhere to the standards of care and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
  • Adhering to – and supporting other team members' adherence to – organizational standards and policies.
  • Maintaining documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards.
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
  • A current unrestricted license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LMHC) in the state where you will be working.
  • Well-grounded in and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches, including cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care.
  • Open-minded and willing to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases as well as local knowledge of colleagues and families we serve.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children or families with developmental differences.

The base pay range for this opening is $47.79 to $59.74 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location.
