Job Title: IT Business Analyst

At Silencer Central, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Business Analyst to join our team. As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing business requirements for projects and participating in large or complex projects for a business function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver written and oral communication, respond to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships within and outside of own area.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and a positive attitude.
  • Monitor industry trends and directions and discuss possible impact on internal strategies.
  • Assess and validate decision options and points and predict their potential impact.
  • Analyze existing systems, processes, and data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support project manager in planning, monitoring, and executing projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis required.
  • Accountability - Understanding of the importance of being accountable and ability to focus on those activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments.
  • Collaborating - Knowledge of collaborative techniques and ability to promote a culture of information sharing and working together to solve business problems and meet business goals.
  • Communication - Understanding of the importance of insightful listening, communicating and ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.
  • Continuous Learning - Understanding of the rationale behind the necessity to continually learn and grow and the ability to seek performance feedback and identify approaches to improve own performance and that of others.
  • Customer Focus - Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge - Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Innovation - Understanding of the value of innovation and ability to develop new ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the organization.
  • Teamwork - Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with and ability to participate effectively as part of a team.
  • Exceptional ability to position and 'sell' solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and 'plug' the appropriate solution.
  • Forward-thinking and resourceful to skirt red tape and ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are closed properly.
  • Ability to problem solve and apply methodologies such as Unified Modeling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation.
  • People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.
  • Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, process flow diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE.
