Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Jefferson Southern Corporation. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support for our welding operations, including rack repair, jig fabrication, and metal fabrication.

• Rack Repair: Repair damaged racks to ensure they meet our quality standards.
• Jig Fabrication: Design and fabricate assembly jigs to support our welding operations.
• Metal Fabrication Support: Provide support to our engineering team with new equipment setup and installation.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Respond to line calls to assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Guidance and Training: Guide the work of others who perform essentially the same work by setting priorities and reviewing work.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow all JSC rules and procedures, as well as all safety policies.
• 5S and Cost Reduction: Perform 5S activities and participate in cost reduction activities to reduce overall operating costs.

• Education: Associate degree (AS) or one to two years of related technical experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Advanced experience in welding and fabrication, intermediate understanding of machining, basic understanding of jig and fixture design, and basic understanding of manufacturing maintenance.
• Licenses and Certifications: Mig welding license(s) preferred.
