Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate patient records.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patients and responding to their needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring and weighing medications)
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line)
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control
