Position Overview

The Monitor Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through effective monitoring and communication. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in communication and enjoy being the central point of contact within the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reception and communication tasks within the patient care unit.
  • Monitor telemetry systems and identify cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Assist in delivering care to patients from various ethnic and social backgrounds.
  • Utilize independent decision-making skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and charge nurse to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Health Unit Coordinator training program and basic arrhythmia course is preferred.
  • One year of experience in patient care is preferred.
  • One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided, including rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency testing.

Compensation and Benefits
