Assistant Building Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services function, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner and meet applicable standards.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed and follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Review inspection reports to ensure building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, operate within design capabilities and achieve environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one to two years of related experience and/or trade school training.
- Engineering experience that focuses on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Universal EPA certification preferred, and additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
