Job Title: Senior Tax Consultant

Altus Group U.S. Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Consultant to join their Personal Property Tax business area. This role will involve working independently to analyze data, determine next steps, and provide recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent analysis and project completion to determine next steps.
  • Analyze data to assist with scope definition, appeal determination, and/or project completion.
  • Provide recommendations to management for course appeal recommendations and/or next steps of a project or appeal.
  • Execute project plans to meet scope requirements for routine or repeatable projects.
  • Correspond with assessors and clients to gather information necessary for work completion.
  • Supervise employees, as appropriate, to ensure work completion and communicate analysis results and status to supervisors and clients.
  • Billing and monitoring project profitability.
  • Ensure all systems are updated for projected revenue and timing, and staffing of personnel.
  • Act as a first-level resource for new/lesser experience staff for technical and analytical matters.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred, but not required).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in personal property tax.
  • Advance level Excel, Word, and Adobe skills.
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze large and complex data sets.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
