Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, and document chief complaints.
- Obtain patient histories and vital signs, and record accurately in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Assist with patient exams, procedures, and collection of specimens as assigned.
- Retrieve laboratory and radiology test results, and instruct patients regarding medications and treatment per physician's instructions.
- Understand and interpret current immunization schedules, and administer injections safely.
- Stock supplies and prepare exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing, or minor surgeries.
- Respond to incoming phone calls, and refer if necessary. Call patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or RMA, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
