Wound Care Center Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States. As a Wound Care Center Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and handling intake and discharge processes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to hospital and nursing standards.
- May also serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned.
- Perform initial nursing assessments, communicate findings with assigned physicians, assess wound stages and measurements, document care plans, evaluate patient status in regards to desired outcomes, and identify patient care situations that require intervention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients or caregivers, and serve as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned, upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training.
- Collaborate as needed with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
- May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current RN license in the state of practice - to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
- Wound care experience preferred

- Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more
Work Environment:

- Proximity to moving objects
- Exposure to Hazards (blood borne pathogens, body fluids, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, etc)
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $40.72-$52.36 Per Hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
