Job Summary

The Social Service Assistant Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of assigned shifts and providing supervision to Social Service Assistants and clients in our residential treatment program.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise assigned shifts and ensure the proper functioning of daily routines and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to Social Service Assistants, ensuring they complete assigned duties and document accordingly.
  • Plan, conduct, and organize program activities during shifts, including group counseling and skill-building activities.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and ensure consistent approaches and structure are used by other supervisors.
  • Perform Pro-Act trained restraints in accordance with program policy, ensuring client health and safety.
  • Facilitate group counseling and group skill-building activities.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Eligibility for QMHA certification, a valid Oregon Driver's license, and insurability under the agency's insurance.
  • Ability to pass Pro-Act crisis intervention training, which includes verbal and physical intervention principles.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talking and hearing. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
