Clinical Logistics Center Paramedic

This position plays a vital role in the clinical care team, collaborating with interprofessional team members to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide centralized remote monitoring of patient physiological data, EKGs, patient escort, and patient mobilization.
- Perform routine, uncomplicated respiratory procedures and treatments, including delivery of low-flow oxygen therapies, delivery of specific inhaled medications, incentive spirometry, and cleaning and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher, or wagon within the hospital and to and from vehicles.
- Immediately report any observed changes in patient condition and accurately relay clinical information.
- Answer telephone calls and communicate with other disciplines and facilities.
- Provide 1:1 observation for patients at risk of self-harm.
- Utilize the electronic medical record as required for patient care.
- Ensure a clean and safe patient care environment and adequately stock necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels.
- Demonstrate excellence in meeting customer service needs and operate in a professional, confidential manner.
- Adhere to the Nemours Standards of Behavior.
- Embrace other duties as assigned to support the Nemours vision/mission.
- High school diploma and successful completion of EMT-P course and current licensure in the state of Florida required.
- Minimum of one year of patient care experience highly preferred.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification (BLS).
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS).
- Decontamination (HERT) training required within one year of hire.
