Position Overview

This is a salaried role that supports the Head Golf Professional in managing the daily functions of the Golf Course. Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising the outside staff, as well as conducting lessons, clinics, and camps. The position emphasizes hospitality and positive interactions with all customers and staff, ensuring that exceptional customer service remains our top priority for a premier golf experience. A professional appearance and a friendly demeanor are essential. This role is classified as Non-Exempt under FLSA.

Required Experience

  • PGA Membership or Apprenticeship preferred
  • Strong knowledge of golf and the ability to play at a proficient level
  • 3-4 years of experience within the golf industry
  • Excellent verbal communication and computer skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Must be capable of multitasking and working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in computerized point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit professionalism and uphold a positive image at all times
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of company and employee information
  • Assist in the enforcement of employee handbook policies and dress code standards
  • Support the planning, organization, and coordination of various golf activities, including leagues, outings, and special events
  • Oversee and direct the daily operations of outside services, including carts, range, parking, and the overall appearance of outdoor facilities
  • Manage the merchandising process, which encompasses ordering, receiving, displaying products, organizing displays, executing sales promotions, and conducting monthly merchandise inventories
  • Supervise the E-Commerce platform, ensuring item listings are accurate, current, and in stock
  • Ensure Golf Shop staff are well-informed about product details and ongoing promotions
  • Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner
  • Assist in managing play, ensuring guest check-in and fee collection processes are efficient
  • Communicate effectively with guests and staff to facilitate daily operations and ensure coordination across departments
  • Engage in various forms of communication, including face-to-face, telephone, and email
  • Perform physical tasks, including moving around, bending, twisting, and sitting at a desk, while also working on a computer and engaging in repetitive movements
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • May require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds
