Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Tech Lead to become a vital part of our Cloud team. This team is tasked with developing and managing our cloud infrastructure and development platform, which is crucial for our operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team responsible for the automated deployment of applications to secure production environments.
- Develop tools and infrastructure that enhance developer satisfaction and increase development efficiency.
- Establish, document, and create 'golden paths' for teams to develop services in a scalable and secure manner.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization to gather requirements, provide support, and drive projects to completion.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in delivering commercial products and services, preferably using Go.
- Proficient in designing and implementing services in Go, Python, or C++.
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools such as ArgoCD and Spinnaker.
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including the development of custom controllers and/or operators for automation.
- Experience in leading a small team of infrastructure engineers.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Experience managing ingress solutions (e.g., Ambassador, Envoy, Istio).
- Background in Developer Platforms within mid-sized or larger organizations.
- Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle industry.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will also be eligible for performance bonuses, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits.
