We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Merchandise Expert to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our sales floor is always stocked, accurately priced, and visually appealing to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Create a welcoming experience for our guests by authentically greeting them and engaging with them in a genuine way.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
- Ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for GM categories and be knowledgeable of products in the ad.
- Execute revisions, sales plans, and planograms for all GM categories.
- Assist all non-GM areas of the store with transition sets and In Store Marketing (ISM).
- Process all inbound deliveries using the Receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
- Operate power equipment only if certified.
- Maintain backroom and fixture room organization, location accuracy, and follow equipment guidelines.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Work both independently and with a team.
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
- Attention to detail and follow a multi-step process.
