Key Responsibilities:

The Process Improvement Analyst role is a mid-level position focused on promoting safety while spearheading process enhancement initiatives, assisting with project management, and providing technical support for various machinery and systems within our production environment.

Berry Global Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures set forth by Berry.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Monitor product quality, inspecting for defects and ensuring proper packaging according to customer specifications.
  • Foster positive communication and collaboration with colleagues to achieve departmental and plant objectives.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, including appropriate attire and hygiene practices.
  • Be available for overtime as required.
  • Identify and report safety violations and hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations, such as fires or accidents, and guide others as necessary.
  • Adhere to all departmental procedures and directives.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the assembly and programming of new and refurbished equipment.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Develop a toolkit for continuous improvement and establish operational fundamentals.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by supporting production in reducing costs and lead times while improving quality and service.
  • Provide guidance to Quality teams in developing procedures and work instructions for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create training resources to educate and motivate employees on continuous improvement principles.
  • Minimize waste and promote best practices throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of involvement in continuous improvement projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Capability to monitor machine output quality.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Must adhere to all departmental procedures and directives.
  • Ability to perform all duties safely and effectively.

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 1+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and resourcefully.
