About the Role

StaffSource, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in delivering BI solutions and ad hoc analysis that support strategic business decisions.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting strategic business decisions through data analysis and BI solutions. They will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units to gather technical requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Design and develop actionable dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Excel, Python, and other BI platforms.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Build, refine, and optimize datasets in Power BI, incorporating complex DAX calculations and KPIs.
  • Evaluate existing BI solutions, looking for opportunities to improve them.
  • Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, documentation, and source control for all BI processes and solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or another analytically focused field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a BI analyst or similar analytical role, with a proven track record of supporting strategic business decisions through data analysis and BI solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with expertise in writing complex and optimized T-SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Expertise in Power BI for building impactful dashboards, reports, and visualizations, with proficiency in writing complex DAX calculations.
  • Extensive experience with Excel for data modeling and analysis, including advanced functions such as Power Query, DAX, XLOOKUP, cube functions, etc.
  • Proficiency in using Python for data analysis and enhanced visualization. Experience with web scraping or dashboarding capabilities a plus.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling (star schema).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
