Job Summary

Operate and maintain stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes. This role requires expertise in operating equipment such as steam fed heat exchangers, generators, motors, pumps, and steam boilers. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining medical equipment, HVAC systems, and other auxiliary equipment necessary to support hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment
  • Maintain medical equipment, HVAC systems, and other auxiliary equipment
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure uninterrupted services
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a mechanical field (e.g., HVAC, welding, plumbing, biomechanical, mechatronics)
  • 3 years of experience as a Stationary Engineer in a power plant or central utility plant
  • Current City of Los Angeles Steam Engineer - Unlimited HP License (or 500 HP License)
  • Ability to drive and comply with state laws and requirements for driving
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in biomechanical, mechatronics, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or other mechanical-related degree
  • 3 years of experience as a Stationary Engineer in a power plant or central utility plant
