Job Summary

Merits Health Products is seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Developer to join our IT Team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing artificial intelligence tools to automate processes and improve efficiency.

This is a full-time position based out of our Fort Myers, FL, Corporate HQ. The salary will be based upon knowledge, skills, education, experience, and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop artificial intelligence tools to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  2. Evaluate machine learning processes and collect and analyze data.
  3. Program AI software to utilize substantial amounts of data and develop and deploy AI algorithms.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally to establish AI processes and goals and measure, evaluate, and troubleshoot effectiveness of AI.
  5. Manage data and project infrastructure and stay abreast with product, regulatory, and industry standards and trends.
Requirements
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience putting Machine Learning models into production.
  • Must have experience using MLOps tools such as Mlflow or similar, for lifecycle management of machine learning models.
  • Must have experience using Docker to create reproducible and scalable environments.
  • Must have advanced knowledge in Machine Learning Models (MLM) and Large Language Models (LLM), using Langchain, or a similar tool.
  • Must have experience in implementing LLMs using vector bases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), as well as tuning models.
  • Must have the ability to perform solution architecture validations for LLMs.
  • Must have experience in putting Generative AI (GENAI) models into production and providing support to them.
  • Must have experience with Cloud Computing and/or familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for model deployment and scaling.
  • Must have the ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code as it is essential in MLOps roles.
  • Must have experience with APIs in developing and using APIs can be useful for integrating models into existing applications.
  • Must have strong and confident decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities and be self-directed / self-sufficient.
  • Must have advanced written, verbal, phone, email and in-person communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to set clear priorities, have timely decision-making skills, demonstrate strategic planning and process-oriented skills, and can manage multiple priorities and projects in a multi-unit enterprise.
  • Must have advanced analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Must have the ability to effectively handle and present substantial amounts of information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients and vendors.
  • Must have a flexible working schedule, must display outstanding work ethic, be punctual, and maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • Must have adequate proficiencies with MS 365 applications.
  • Must have experience using ERP systems/software such as Oracle NetSuite, Epicor, or similar.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must speak, read, and write fluent English grammar and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements: A bachelor's degree in a relevant, related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role; or an equivalent combination of education, training, professional certification(s), and/or related experience with progressive responsibilities in a relatable role.
