About the Position

As a Retail Operations Leader, you will oversee and guide the entire store team. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance customer satisfaction and foster associate engagement. You will mentor, coach, and develop team members to provide exceptional service, merchandising knowledge, and consistent operational execution. Your accountability will extend to achieving overall results and success across all key performance indicators, with a focus on driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct profitable sales, align with financial objectives, and meet performance targets through strategic decision-making and effective leadership of the store team.
  • Manage payroll plans by overseeing store schedules, tracking labor costs, and adjusting to business conditions based on sales trends; ensure adequate staffing based on store traffic.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and make hiring, compensation, and termination decisions for all levels of store personnel, including management roles.
  • Address associate relations matters, including performance management, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee the training process for new hires, instilling the company culture, product knowledge, and sales practices while holding associates accountable for individual performance goals.
  • Coach the store team to enhance their skills, providing opportunities for ongoing development and creating succession plans for talent growth.
  • Ensure effective inventory management through accurate shipping and receiving processes, and complete all necessary business directives such as pricing adjustments and labeling procedures.
  • Mitigate loss by educating associates, monitoring daily store activities, maintaining product protection standards, and collaborating with Loss Prevention.
  • Uphold merchandising standards in accordance with visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring product presentation is clear, engaging, and customer-friendly.
  • Maintain optimal product levels on the sales floor by planning and directing replenishment efforts.
  • Create an inviting store atmosphere for customers by demonstrating and modeling exemplary customer service behaviors, ensuring efficient point-of-sale operations and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Demonstrating, coaching, and developing a customer-centric mindset, including service techniques, anticipating customer needs, and effectively resolving issues.
  • Ensuring strong operational standards, loss prevention measures, and merchandising presentation, including accurate pricing and proper signage.
  • Monitoring and adjusting resources in response to business demands to support customer needs.
  • Evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions that enhance overall store performance.
  • Managing talent through hiring, training, development, and supervision.
  • Successfully executing multiple tasks within established timelines.
  • Training, monitoring, and reinforcing adherence to company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Complying with safety policies to ensure the well-being of associates and customers.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience supervising a team of 20 or more associates, including performance management and employment decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Robust people management skills with a focus on talent development.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience supervising a team of 50 or more associates, including performance management responsibilities.
  • A college degree or equivalent combination of education and 3-4 years of experience in retail or a related field.

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $142,100.00
