Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Pain Clinic

NorthBay Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pain Clinic team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessment, and medical management in our state-of-the-art Pain Clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including rechecks, medication refills, basic limited exams, diagnostic test orders, referrals, and establishes/confirms diagnosis.
  • Prescribe medications, instruct patients about medical conditions, medications, and treatment.
  • Provide continuity for patients seen by a Center for Pain Management physician.
  • Collaborate with the patient's primary care provider as needed.
  • Function as a case manager, facilitating the coordination of services and plan of care.
  • Provide telephone guidance to patients.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, including a Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
  • Current California licensure as an ANA Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current AHA or equivalent certification in Healthcare Provider BLS.
  • Maintains a current Furnishing Number for medications.
  • Maintains a current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above or can achieve within 60 days of hire.
Experience:
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner practicing in a related field.
  • Minimum of one year Case Management experience in a related healthcare organization.
Skills:
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient's physical and emotional status.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Adult, Young Adult, and Geriatric.
  • Demonstrates clear credentials check through the AHP process.
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly set behavioral limits.
  • Ability to use computer, MS Word.

Compensation:

$87.31-$101.09 per hour based on years of experience in this role.
