Position Summary

  • Conducts thorough inspections and monitors construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Performs a variety of inspections, including but not limited to pile installations, deep dynamic compaction, and utility setups.
  • Confirms the precision of structural installations and layout configurations.
  • Executes geotechnical engineering laboratory evaluations.
  • Prepares samples for laboratory testing and interprets technical drawings.
  • Conducts environmental assessments and compiles detailed reports.
  • Supervises drilling operations and the collection of soil and groundwater samples.
  • Develops project cost estimates and provides guidance to junior personnel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet project demands.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction inspection. Additional certifications such as OSHA HAZWOPER, ACI/NICET/NJ DCA Special Inspector, and Nuclear Densometer are advantageous. Strong proficiency in English, mathematics, and computer applications is essential.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should be capable of lifting weights exceeding 50 pounds and working outdoors under varying weather conditions. Compliance with safety protocols and the use of appropriate safety equipment during fieldwork is mandatory.
