Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. As a key member of our care team, you will provide safe and personalized patient care, assisting with activities of daily living while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working day shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Provide basic medical equipment and supplies as needed
  • Document patient information and progress in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required; C-GNA licensure preferred
  • Basic employment skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)
