Training and Development Specialist

Virginia Oncology Associates, a leading cancer care and blood disorders organization, seeks a skilled Training and Development Specialist to support its operations based in Norfolk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs for new hires, focusing on business systems and workflow. This role requires a strong understanding of training development and implementation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver training programs for new hires, emphasizing business systems and workflow.
Create and maintain training documentation, manuals, and performance metrics.
Monitor new hire trainee processing and provide individual and team feedback.
Assist in implementing plans for individual and team development.
Gather data and prepare training reports as requested.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, business, or related technical field preferred.
Minimum three years of experience in training development and implementation required.
Minimum of one-year implementing and presenting training materials required.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
