Your Opportunity:

In this role, you will leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) technologies and methodologies to develop, analyze, and maintain new system models for the AFNWC portfolio.

You will integrate MBSE tools and processes with existing systems and workflows, and apply MBSE principles to enhance system engineering processes and enable simulation-based analysis and studies.

You will utilize models throughout the acquisition life cycle to support requirements, analysis, design, implementation, and verification of a capability or system.

You will conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and gap analyses to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for horizontal integration.

You will evaluate technology and system solutions against program objectives and performance metrics, cost considerations, and risk factors.

You will use technologies to perform sensitivity analyses and report the impact of changes in system requirements or design parameters on overall system performance and program outcomes.

You will coordinate with the NNSA and SNL WSCDM to assist AFNWC with data management needs, updates, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain new system models for the AFNWC portfolio using MBSE technologies and methodologies
  • Integrate MBSE tools and processes with existing systems and workflows
  • Apply MBSE principles to enhance system engineering processes and enable simulation-based analysis and studies

Requirements:
  • An active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related field
  • 10+ years of Systems Engineering and MBSE experience relating to Aerospace and Defense projects
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility
  • Proficiency in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) modeling language
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, INCOSE SE Handbook, etc.
  • Ability to perform simulation-based analysis and studies using MBSE tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
