Lead Senior Systems Engineer

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to coordinate cross-functional team efforts to ensure system architecture and design align with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate strategic direction into a feasible technical path to execution
  • Lead working-level IPTs and provide technical recommendations to the leadership team
  • Represent the team in a technical capacity to the government customer and external organizations
  • Periodic travel may be required to carry out duties
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent STEM degree from an accredited institution
  • 8+ years of relevant experience relating to DoD projects such as major weapons systems or major programs
  • Experience managing complex systems over their life cycles
  • Experience with various engineering disciplines such as nuclear, aerospace, electrical, and systems engineering
  • Must be able to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts in reference to systems engineering
  • Expertise with requirements development and analysis, and the development of systems engineering-related documents
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and capable of handling multiple competing priorities
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • MS in Engineering
  • Nuclear weapon system experience
  • Systems engineering certifications, such as CSEP, ESEP, OCSMP
