Job Summary:

Corning Incorporated seeks a skilled Mechanical Components Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems used in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems, including panels, mounting structures, trackers, and balance of system (BOS) components.
  • Perform analysis and simulations to validate design concepts, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, to translate design requirements into manufacturable products.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical parts and assemblies.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree.
  • 2-4 years of working experience in mechanical work.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and fabrication techniques used in producing mechanical components and systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and codes applicable to mechanical design, such as ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
