Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher

About VocoVision

We are hiring a passionate and flexible Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide remote services to students across Alaska. This is a wonderful opportunity to work from home while contributing to the success of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide virtual instruction to K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, utilizing ASL and other communication approaches in teaching.
  • Develop and modify IEPs in collaboration with the students team, conducting ongoing assessments to measure student progress.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to provide resources and support, fostering an inclusive, supportive virtual learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or Special Education (Masters preferred).
  • Certification in Deaf Education or Special Education in Alaska (or willing to obtain).
  • Fluency in ASL and/or total communication, with experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
