Pediatric Audiology Specialist

Position Overview:
The Audiologist role encompasses the delivery of comprehensive audiological services, which include assessment, diagnostic testing, and ongoing therapeutic interventions for pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

- Work Schedule: Day shifts (8am-6pm), no weekends
- Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Deliver audiological services that adhere to evidence-based practices, focusing on evaluations, interventions, and consultations tailored for the pediatric demographic.
Engage in essential functions required by the audiology department, including:
- Timely and accurate documentation
- Management of patient caseloads
- Conducting chart audits
- Ensuring precise billing practices
- Compliance with current policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives
Facilitate collaboration and education for patients, families, educational personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Contribute to program and departmental growth as assigned.
Audiologist Level 1 practitioners will be expected to provide care for all pediatric age groups and developmental stages in the following areas:
- Auditory Brainstem Response testing (both natural sleep and sedated)
- Behavioral assessments utilizing VRA, CPA, and conventional methods
- Management of standard amplification for hearing aids and bone conduction devices
- Participation in ENT clinics
- Additional services may be integrated based on departmental needs, including Cochlear Implant management, Vestibular assessments, and inpatient services
Support outreach initiatives and student programs after two years of professional experience and one year of employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited institution. Verification of education will be conducted.
- State licensure to practice Audiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology.
- Experience in a specialized area within a medical environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to hear and listen, manual dexterity, visual acuity, verbal communication, standing, lifting, and mobility.
