Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in an assigned group, while maintaining a high level of supervision and engagement.
  2. Provide guidance and support to staff on developmentally appropriate practices, curriculum, and assessments.
  3. Directly supervise center coordinators and education support staff, while overseeing professional development planning and coaching.
  4. Collaborate with families, staff, and peers to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, while ensuring activities are child-led, play-based, and goal-oriented.
  6. Organize professional development opportunities to support education, curriculum, and behavior management.
  7. Maintain a coaching system that is productive and utilized by direct care staff, while providing intensive coaching to staff in need of support.
  8. Communicate effectively with families, both verbally and in writing, while providing resources and referrals to community agencies as needed.
  9. Model appropriate language and behavior for children, staff, volunteers, and families, while promoting a positive and professional image.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education with ECE endorsement, or related field.
  2. Three years' experience in early childhood programs, working with children 0-5 years, with supervision experience preferred.
  3. CPR certification and First Aid certification required.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
