Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at HDG Hotels. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute overall and preventative maintenance for the hotel and property according to the budget and time allotted.
  • Assist in the repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Maintain physical operations such as refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, carpentry, water treatment, laundry equipment, and electric systems.
  • Interact positively and timely with all HDG partners, including team members, leadership, vendors, and owners.
  • Develop and coordinate renovation, construction, and other maintenance projects, and communicate with all parties associated with such projects.
  • Purchase and order supplies and equipment as appropriate.
  • Ensure all safety and emergency inspections comply with mandated standards, and team members are trained accordingly on related guidelines and procedures.
  • Supervise and assist team members, including maintenance team members.
  • Abide by city and state building codes.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and monitor the budget.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Assist with the hiring, training, developing, recognizing, and coaching of team members working in a maintenance role.
  • Assign duties and monitor the work for quality, safety, and procedural standards.
  • Promote and recognize performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Work Environment
