KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct maintenance and training on Electric/ECS systems of the F-16.
- Prioritize and manage ongoing work effectively.
- Evaluate and inspect completed work to determine the condition of components.
- Perform various maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and rebuilds of aircraft components.
- Handle functional components such as power generation systems, wire harnesses, and environmental systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures.
- Interpret technical orders and specifications for repairs and replacements.
- Utilize and maintain necessary equipment, ensuring compliance with technical data.
- Provide training and technical guidance to fellow technicians.
- Ensure all replacement parts are certified and inspected before installation.
- Manage the tagging and routing of removed parts to quarantine.
- Execute maintenance, repair, and inspection of aircraft as per company guidelines.
- Document and certify all work performed on the aircraft.
- Adhere to safety practices and procedures in accordance with the maintenance operations manual.
- Conduct both line and heavy maintenance in line with operational standards.
- Perform Independent Checks and Receiving Inspections as authorized.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Report any safety hazards to a supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Work independently and complete assignments as per given instructions.
- Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- USAF 5 level or equivalent with documented experience.
- Experience in fighter aircraft maintenance.
- Qualifications in related maintenance fields.
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems on the F-16.
- E&E maintenance specialist with USAF 7 level or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in ground handling and minor maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage complex assignments with technical knowledge.
- Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
CERTIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license required; exceptions may apply.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) certification is advantageous.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of direct experience with F-16 Electro & Environmental systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires regular standing, sitting, and movement, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work in various environments, including exposure to mechanical parts and varying weather conditions.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Selected candidates may undergo a Government security investigation.
- Domestic and international travel may be necessary.
