Job Summary

Benedictine University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Lecturer in Graphic Design to teach Graphic Design courses in a part-time, non-benefit eligible position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach one or two Graphic Design courses per semester, including Typography, Graphic Design II, Computer Art, and Senior Portfolio in the spring, and Fundamentals of Design, History of Graphic Design, Graphic Design I, UI/UX Design, and Motion Graphics in the fall.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in Graphic Design to ensure that course materials and instruction are relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • A terminal degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or significant work experience in related industries.
  • Teaching experience at the university level is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and beyond is required.
