Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests, associates, and vendors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising housekeeping staff, providing open communication, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, recommending performance evaluations, resolving problems, and providing open communication and recommending discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  • Inspecting the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back-of-house operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Issuing assignments to staff, reviewing special requests, and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of housekeeping operations.
  • Issuing supplies and goods to staff at the beginning of shifts to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
  • Responding to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Logging items into the Lost and Found and answering inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Implementing emergency training and procedures to ensure the protection of the hotel, guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Complying with attendance rules and being available to work on a regular basis.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • The ability to lift, carry, or move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist other staff members.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
