Founded in 1972, Burlington Stores has evolved from a family-owned coat business into a prominent off-price retailer, offering a diverse range of products including apparel, baby items, home goods, and more.
Internship Experience:
This comprehensive 10-week summer program is designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge through various learning experiences, including:
- Leadership development seminars and classroom training focused on retail mathematics and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Interactive tours of our retail locations and distribution centers.
- Engaging peer-to-peer social activities and community service initiatives.
Hands-On Learning:
Participate in shadowing opportunities to gain insights into critical business operations and interact with industry leaders, enhancing your understanding of the off-price retail sector.
Mentorship:
Throughout the program, you will receive direct mentorship from a dedicated member of our Finance team, providing support and guidance to enrich your internship experience.
Work Schedule:
This internship follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office attendance on designated days, with flexibility based on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
Intern Responsibilities:
As a Finance Intern, you will:
- Analyze and update financial trends presented in weekly and monthly reports.
- Conduct general ledger account assessments.
- Prepare journal entries and variance reports for financial statements.
- Be assigned to specific areas within Finance, gaining exposure to functions such as Accounts Payable, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Internal Audit.
- Collaborate with team members across various departments to achieve shared goals.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Graduating between December 2025 and August 2026.
- Passionate about finance, accounting, and data analytics.
- Skilled in managing and interpreting financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
