Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Plan and prioritize care for critically ill patients, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, identifying nursing diagnoses and developing individualized care plans.
- Implement and direct care, using the nursing process to prioritize patient needs and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and provide education to patients and their families.
- 1 year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the ICU.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
