We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Plan and prioritize age and specialty appropriate care of each patient assigned by communicating relevant information to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Evaluate the patient/family response to, and outcome(s) of, implemented care and modifies the plan of care accordingly.
- Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual Telemetry patients.
- Promote, initiate or coordinate interdisciplinary care provision in an open communication system with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and with all other persons who influence patient progress.
- 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Rio Grande Regional Hospital is a 320+ bed full-service hospital serving the Rio Grande Valley for over 30 years. Our team of over 500 physicians represents 35+ specialties, and we offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. Our Emergency Room is a Level III Trauma Center, and we have extended our ER services into the Rio Grande Valley with our three remote ERs in McAllen/Mission, Edinburg, and San Juan.
