Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiac care, particularly in electrophysiology, to deliver exceptional patient care across all age groups. The ideal candidate will be proactive, a team player, and possess a strong ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in electrophysiology is essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid Texas medical license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Texas DEA certification
  • Certification or eligibility from ANCC or AANP
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose a range of acute, episodic, and chronic health conditions
  • Function as a collaborator and extender for supervising physicians
  • Implement and monitor care plans effectively
  • Support ancillary personnel including sonographers, nurses, and medical assistants
  • Respond to patient inquiries and calls
  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments
  • Engage in health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education
  • Maintain knowledge of advanced practice nursing regulations and operate within established guidelines
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventive care and follow-up
  • Coordinate referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services
  • Document all patient interactions in compliance with organizational policies and standards
  • Conduct and interpret various diagnostic tests, including EKGs and echocardiograms
  • Prescribe medications as permitted under Texas Medical Practice Act
