Role Summary
A client located in Collin County, Texas is in search of a dedicated Cardiac Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in electrophysiology to deliver high-quality patient care across various age groups. The ideal candidate should be proactive, team-oriented, and possess the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in electrophysiology is essential.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Texas medical license as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Texas DEA certificate
- Certification or eligibility from ANCC or AANP
- CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose a range of acute, episodic, and chronic health conditions
- Function as a collaborator and extender for the supervising physicians
- Implement and manage care plans effectively
- Support ancillary personnel including sonographers, nurses, and medical assistants
- Respond to patient inquiries and calls
- Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Prescribe medications and recommend non-pharmacologic therapies
- Engage in health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education
- Maintain knowledge of advanced practice nursing regulations and operate within legal boundaries
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventive care and follow-up
- Coordinate referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services
- Document all patient interactions in compliance with organizational policies and standards
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, Holter monitors, and echocardiograms
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Texas Medical Practice Act regulations
